Wathum-Ocama, Quentin
Mr. Quentin
Hello Maxfield Scholars and Families —
My name is Quentin Wathum-Ocama (Mr. Quentin), and I am an Academic Support Teacher who helps support our 3rd and 4th-grade readers and I also help support Maxfield's collaboration with the University of St. Thomas.
I am a lifelong resident of Saint Paul and am proud to have done all of my schooling in Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS), from PreK to 12th grade. My first work experience with Saint Paul Public Schools began in 2014, and after leaving the district in 2016, I returned in 2019, where I started working for SPPS again full-time. I come from a family of educators, with my father, brother, and sister-in-law all being current or former SPPS educators.
I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and graduated from the Youth Development Leadership Masters of Education program at the University of Minnesota's School of Social Work, where I also completed a graduate minor in Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. I am currently working on a Master of Arts degree from Concordia University, Saint Paul.
