Ms. Silas

My name is Leslie Silas and I am a first grade teacher at Maxfield.  I have been teaching in the SPPS district  since 1991. I have been teaching at Maxfield for over twenty years. I was born in St. Paul, Minnesota.  I grew up in the neighborhood where I attended Maxfield as a child.

I have a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.  I love working with children it is my passion.  I have one daughter.

My goal is for every child in my classroom to be successful this year.  I encourage you to help your child with their homework; after all it takes a village for a child to be successfully. I am passionate about homework.  Your child will be bringing homework home daily.
