Veronica is a clinical school-based therapist for Kofi, a school-based mental health program at Wilder. She works in Maxfield Elementary School in Saint Paul.
Clinician since: 2019
Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology; master’s degree in social work from the University Of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
Areas of interest/expertise: I provide culturally specific and trauma-informed therapeutic services to elementary-aged children and their families. I work with children and families of African descent at school, in their homes, and in the community. I have worked in the children’s mental health field as a behavior therapist, day treatment therapist, and school-based therapist. I also have experience serving youth and families as a group home case manager and a parent educator. My framework is culturally sensitive, developmentally focused, and systemic. My therapeutic practice is trauma and attachment-focused. I believe that all children and families deserve safety, healing, love and belonging, and I am honored to join children and families on their journey.
