Staff Profile

Hi! My name is Brandi Pottle. I am one of the 4th/5th grade teachers at Maxfield. I’ve been teaching in St. Paul since 2000, and have had the privilege of teaching most of those years at Maxfield Elementary School. 

I am passionate about building positive relationships with the students and families I teach and learn from. When the relationships and community expectations are routine and established, academics fall right into place.

Our classroom community can expect to have reading and math homework Monday and Wednesday. The skills/concepts learned in class carry over to their homework. I’ll also send a weekly update home on Thursdays, so families are informed about the Happenings in Community 2103.

Some fun facts about me: I have a 32 year-old son, Michael who is getting married in June. My husband, Robb, is a Phy-ed teacher at a nearby school. He and I have an 11 year-old daughter, Lydia and a 7 year-old son, Robbie. I have 3 siblings: Bree, Brooke (my identical twin!), and Roy. We grew up in St. Paul. I enjoy running, biking, and playing softball, but love traveling and spending time with my family.
