Dear Families, Your child is invited to create a project for the Second Annual SPPS Creativity Challenge, happening throughout the months of April and May. Projects will be displayed at the Culturally Responsive Instruction (CRI) Expo June 17 and 18 for staff district-wide to view. The CRI Expo is conference style experience, where SPPS educators will learn from each other and share culturally responsive practices and resources. The theme for th_is year's challenge is Celebrating Identity. Everyone has multiple identities; your identity makes you who are. Parts of identity can includ􀀯 your culture, ethnicity, gender, race, and abilities. Your child can choose which part or parts of their identity they'd like to celebrate through this project. Students can showcase their identity through any modality: photo, drawing, video, song, or another way that they'd like to create. This project is designed to be led by your child, their understandings of ic;ientity, and their abilities with the tools or materials they choose. Participation in the SPPS Creativity Challenge is optional, but we encourage your child to share their talents and identity with the SPPS community.

For more details about the project, submission guidelines, as well as . project examples and resources, please check the SPPS Creativity Challenge website with this link or by scanning the QR code above
