Maxfield Pathway to Success Academic Support Maxfield's mission is to ensure that every child is provided the proper education. Even in the event a child needs to take a break from the classroom setting and is in "In School Suspension (ISS) academic support is provided. ISS is staffed with a licensed teacher whose responsibilities include: 1) redirection to help children understand there are better choices for behavior 2) teach all the core classes, Reading, Math and Writing so the children can keep up with what is being taught in the classroom. 3) provide supplemental materials for the students .to support academic gaps. Iss is a place for students to rethink their behavior while at the same time receive meaningful instruction not busy work.
