During an assembly on October 18, 2011 the Minnesota Vikings were here to present a check for $10,000 to Maxfield for our new FITNESS ZONE EQUIPMENT.
Heart rates were up and plenty of fun was had at the 13th annual Hometown Huddle.
The Minnesota Vikings, Greater Twin Cities United Way and volunteers presented a check for $10,000 to Maxfield Elementary School towards a new Fitness Zone, including new equipment, in an attempt to tackle childhood obesity.
In association with NFL Play 60, players led students through a series of fitness activities designed to help young people find new and exciting ways to stay fit; something the Minnesota Vikings and Greater Twin Cities United Way work together to encourage.
