Maxfield Magnet School has approximately 60 ELL students in grades
kindergarten through sixth grade. Maxfield ELL students boast a
rich variety of home languages and cultures.
ELL service is a combination of pull-out classes as well as inclusion, where the ELL teacher works with the students in
their mainstream classroom.
Every March, ELL students take the Test for Emerging Academic
English. This assessment measures their growth in speaking,
reading and writing English.
