Ms. Janet Jacobsen, School Nurse
Welcome to Maxfield Magnet's Health Webpage!! We have many things happening at our school to promote the health of our students.

There continues to be much concern regarding the H1N1 Novel Influenza. If your child has the following symptoms, please follow the recommended guidelines. If your child has a temperature of 100 degrees or more AND recent onset of at least one of the following: 1. runny nose or nasal congestion 2.sore throat or 3.cough, they should not attend school for at least 7 days. Please call the school nurse at 651-293-8680 for further instructions.

We continue to monitor all students regarding their immunizations. If your student is still in process for completing a course of vaccinations, you will be notified by the nurse and need to provide proof of immunization from your clinic.

If your child will be entering pre-school or kindergarten in the 2009-2010 school year please make sure immunizations are up to date, a physical is also recommended. We look forward to seeing you at Kindergarten Round-Up May 12th at 5 p.m.!!

Our 6th graders have reviewed their current shot records and should have brought home paperwork for parents/guardians to see. PLEASE  get your students into the clinic soon and complete the immunizations needed to attend Junior High!! A sports physical also needs to be completed to participate in school sports.

Our dental clinic will be in the building for 2 days this month.

We will be offering an Asthma Transition Class for students in 6th grade to review recognizing symptoms of asthma and taking more responsibility for self treatment in the school setting.

Have a wonderful summer vacation!!! The last day of school is June 9th.
