School will start at 9:05. Children may eat breakfast starting at 8:45.
Concepts We are Working On:
*Reading: The class continue to work on building our vocabularies. We are also focusing on sounding out our 3 letters words (example: cat, man, mad). We are learning our family words, -at, -an-ad, -ed.
*Math: The class will be learning the value of penny, nickel, dime, and quarter; coin exchanges; about hours, minutes, and analog and digital clocks; how to conduct surveys and graph their results; 2D and 3D shapes; how to count by 2s; the concept of half; and symbolic representations of patterns.
Writing:
The class is working on their expert informational text book.
Ongoing Themes:
Animals—the class will be learning a variety of animals. We will focus heavily on horses, dinosaurs, butterflies, and cows.

Things to Remember
1. Contact school with all changes of transportation. Call or send a note.
2. We go outside for recess so dress the student according to the weather that day.
3. Please check the homework folder/their backpacks for information from school, notes, etc.
4. Homework is collected on Friday. Students get new homework packet on Monday.
5. The Wellness Policy prohibits candies or soda drinks in school. They will be taken away if your child brings them to school.
6. We are always in need of healthy snack such as pretzel, cereal, popcorn, or crackers.
