Greetings Maxfield Magnet Families:

Winter is here! Warmer weather will return in about 6 months. In the meantime, make certain that your student is bundled up for out door recess and standing at the bus stop. Label your student’s hats, scarves, coats, gloves, and mittens. Maxfield Magnet Elementary is NOT responsible for any lost or stolen items of clothing.

School Uniforms are to be worn everyday unless otherwise notified. During the winter, most of us feel chilly and want longer sleeves. However, ONLY UNIFORM clothing is to be worn. Plain navy blue crew neck sweaters and sweatshirts are acceptable uniform attachments. Hooded sweaters or sweatshirts are not part of our school uniform. We will begin to ask students to remove these non -uniform items next week, Monday. Shirts must be tucked in. Family, we need your support in this matter. Please ask your student to tuck in their shirt.

We must keep each student safe. There is too much additional movement in the halls at dismissal time. If it is absolutely necessary that they be picked up early, stop in the main office and request that your student be sent to the office. Do not go directly to the student’s classroom. Notify your teacher that you are coming for a visit. Please wait at the front door where your student will be dismissed. The back door is for our bus dismissal only. All walkers would enter and leave through the front door. Family, we need your support in these matters.

We all believe our students to be smart and we want our state scores to reflect just how smart each student at Maxfield really is! Therefore, each student must be in school every day, on time, and ready to learn. Visit before preparation for going home at 3:00PM. Family, we need your support in these matters.
