Literacy Coordinator

Maxfield students and staff are well on their way to reading 30,000 books. As of the end of December we have read 16,008 books! We are pround of the reading that our students are doing. Students are reading just right books which will move them as readers. A just right book will challenge students a little, but not frustrate them. Please ask your child what just right book he or she is currently reading.
We have been overwhelmed with the response to our Harvest of Books book drive! Maxfield has received thousands of books and we are now able to share those books with our families. In the hallway leading to the gym there are boxes of books lined up. These are books that families can take and add to their home libraries. Please feel free to stop by and select books for your home when ever you have a chance! There is a wide selection!
